Backstory

Haykrii (Hai-kree) was raised in Kugane to a settled-down adventurer mother & self-made merchant father, with an odd occurrence - she was born with both Miqo'te and Elezen ears! With her father doting on her, she grew to be spoiled & studious, but she was restless for adventure.When she met her now husband, Tommy, a well-traveled samurai, he lit a fire under her to follow her dreams. They left for Eorzea and eloped without telling her family until she was already across the salt.She became a paladin for the Ishgardian Orthodox Church, fought in the Dragonsong War (and all the other potentially world-ending events since...) and is now a jack-of-all-trades freelancer, living in Shirogane & running her teahouse. She makes it a point to visit her parents in the city often.She hopes to settle in her mother's homeland of Radz-at-Han if they ever build adventurer housing.

Fun Facts

Haykrii's name derives from the sounds of the Hingan name for the color yellow - Kiiro; and the word for cute - Kawaii, loosely combined with her mother's name, K'hazan. It is previously written Hay'krii, but she has dropped the apostrophe for a more Eorzean style of name.
Her maiden name is Kokizami (Koh-kee-zah-mee), and she will answer to both family names.She is completely deaf in her Elezen ears. After getting a Chirugeon's opinion, her circumstance is a form of chimaerism. She is also slightly blind in one eye, made worse by an unfortunate case of light aether poisoning, but it is unrelated to her chimaerism.
